Tournament Format & Rules

 

Each team should provide their own game and warm-up ball(s).

The game ball has to be provided by the home team.

Teams listed first/top on game schedule will be the home team and wear white or light colored jerseys.

Teams listed bottom/second on game schedule will be the visiting team and wear dark colored jerseys.

A clock worker and book/score  keeper will be provided by FSBA.

                 

 

  • Showcase Game Play

  • Limit of 15 players per team

  • Games will be played under NCAA rules (without clocks)

  • All teams must be ready to play at the designated times

  • Warm-up will be four (4) minutes and team will need to supply their own warm-up balls

  • No game will start before the scheduled time

  • Home teams will be listed first on the schedule (or on the bottom of bracket) and will wear light color uniforms

  • Players will play two sixteen (16) minute halves

  • Halftime will be four (4) minutes

  • Two (2) full and two (2) 30 second timeouts per game

  • Teams will shoot one and one on the 10th foul

  • First overtime is two minutes; second overtime is 1 minute; third overtime is sudden death

  • When a technical foul is called, the game play resumes where it left off. After the technical is shot, the ball is returned to the team that had possession at the time of foul. If the coach gets one (1) technical foul, the coach will be allowed to still stand. After the 2nd technical foul, the coach will have to leave the bench and no longer coach (nor cheer for) the game.

  • Site Directors have final ruling in case of disputes

 

NCAA Rules & Check-In

  • Players must attend NCAA Educational session before or immediately after first scheduled game and sign the roster.  Team/ players MUST attend educational session or their games will be forfeited and will not be able to participate in any additional games.

  • The NCAA requires all individuals that engage in coaching activities at an NCAA certified event must be approved BEFORE participating through the NCAA Coaches Approval Program.  Only coaches who are NCAA certified will get armbands. This includes head coaches, assistant coaches, and scorekeepers. Only those NCAA will be allowed to sit on the players bench during the game(s).
